
Damon Armitage, MD
Dr. Damon Armitage is an Oregon native from Cottage Grove. As of June 2025, he retired from the Air National Guard as a Colonel with 24 years combined service including multiple deployments, and culminating in service as the Oregon State Air Surgeon at Joint Forces Headquarters in Salem. After attending the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville for undergraduate and graduate programs, he completed medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock in 2005. He completed Residency in Family Medicine at Travis Air Force Base via a University of California – Davis affiliated program in 2008. He remains passionate about quality community health care, and aviation medicine.
Dr. Armitage enjoys a wide variety of hobbies including farming, beekeeping, hunting, guitar, and spending time with family.
